The FIR-X5 is the most technologically-advanced, fuel-efficient radiant heater on the market!
Using far-infrared heat waves, the X5 produces a gentle, luxurious heat, that allows the unit to be safely bumped or touched without causing harm. This makes the X5 the first heater of its kind that can be safely utilized in close spaces.
· Far-infrared waves - as opposed to the traditional VAL6 units, the X5 utilizes the longest wavelength of heat: far-infrared waves. This wavelength produces a gentle, luxurious heat, ideal in environments with many persons.
· Enclosed flame - the X5 utilizes an enclosed flame; this, coupled with the far-infrared heat waves, creates a heater that can be touched with a bare-hand, maximizing user safety. Hotspots have now been eliminated with X5’s balanced heat. Safety and Proximity have been maximized without compromising on heating performance.

· Built-in thermostat - the X5 is the only VAL6 to have a built-in thermostat; it adjust itself between 5 heat settings, never fully turning off to maintain temperature while also maximizing fuel consumption. Below are relevant safety features for the X5:
Overheat prevention - to prevent malfunction, the X5 has an automatic shutdown system that activates when the main chamber reaches abnormally high temperatures.
Tip-over protection - the X5 will automatically shut down when it is tipped over or receives a strong impact (bump).
High/low-voltage detection - to prevent malfunction, the X5 will automatically shut down when it detects abnormal voltage conditions.
Flame monitor - the flame monitor will shut down the X5 if it detects an abnormal flame in the main chamber.
After power outage - in the event of power loss the X5 will not automatically restart to prevent fire or undetectable accidents when the power is restored.
